RC News #40: We're in London!

Unsurprisingly, our travel plans changed and we found ourselves in the United Kingdom!

Last week, Zach and I were training in Frankfurt when we received a message from a UK-based YouTuber, inviting us to London for a collaboration video. Although we came to Europe early to prepare for the Prague World Cup on September 20, we are also committed and passionate about our YouTube channel!

We decided to drop everything and travel to London, and we're glad we did! Not only was the collaboration really fun and eye-opening, but Zach and I love the UK!

The climbing gyms are excellent, the people are nice, and of course, it's great to be able to read and speak the language.

Because it's quite taxing to travel back and forth before World Cups, Zach and I are staying in London until two days before the World Cup. Our original plan was to train in the Czech Republic for a few days before the event, but I think training in London is an excellent trade.

In other news...

  • A few days ago, we officially sold out of our Chicken Chalk Buckets! I was so pleased to see the excitement and demand for my chalk bags, and I couldn't be happier to have run out of stock! This spring, I plan to double up my inventory and start pumping them out on a larger scale!
  • I was recently featured on the podcast That's Not Real Climbing, where I chat about social media, Richardsons Climbing YouTube, being married on the IFSC circuit, and winning nationals. Check it out!
  • On the YouTube side, our channel Richardsons Climbing has reached 1,000,000 total views! This is a huge milestone for any YouTube channel, and we're eager to push that number as much as we can.
  • Last week while we were in Frankfurt, Zach and I were inducted onto the Studio Bloc wall! As you walk down the stairs into Germany's famous climbing gym Studio Bloc, you see photos of past professional climbers who have been to Studio Bloc. I've admired the pros on that wall since my first visit to Studio Bloc, so being up there with them is basically the coolest thing that's ever happened!
